DJ MARCO CORVINO
|
Marco Corvino ha cominciato a lavorare come dj a livello professionale in molti programmi radiofonici italiani dal 1985, comprese alcune tra le più famose radio come: Radio Orion 2, Rare Grooves, Rec & Play, Mix in Time, "Mastermix" di Radio Italia Network, Radio Marte Stereo e Radio Club 91. Nel 1990 ha cominciato a collaborare con il nascente gruppo di promoter Angels Of Love. Con gli Angels Marco ha collaborato per 9 anni, insieme a tutti i migliori artisti del panorama dance mondiale. In quel periodo ha suonato in America (Miami), Francia, Germania, Inghilterra, Paesi Bassi. Nei primi anni ’90 Marco ha avuto i suoi primi approcci con gli studi di registrazione e nel 1995 è uscito il suo primo disco “Don’t U Know”, realizzato su UMM records, con la collaborazione di Marco Carola. Nel 1996 è poi uscito “Primo” su M.A.W. records, in cui compare con lo pseudonimo “Corvino Traxx”, utilizzato per sue collaborazioni con i Masters At Work. Nel 1997 ha realizzato “Neapolis” su etichetta Vinyl Peace, la label canadese di proprietà di Dino e Terry. Sempre nel 1997 ha prodotto un remix per Dixie Jox & D Minor su AOL records con lo pseudonimo Java Brothers (Marco Corvino e Furriello Bros) ed un remix su Planet Records intitolato “Lovin’ You” con una versione di Stefano Miele. Nel 1999 è uscito “El Sol” su etichetta Test records e nello stesso anno Marco ha realizzato anche “One Day In Rio”, con lo pseudonimo Dual Key (Marco Corvino e Maurizio B-Flat), apprezzatissimo nella scena house mondiale e, soprattutto, da Tony Humphries che l’ha recensito e lo ha fatto uscire poi sulla label americana Sound On Wax records, portandolo con sè in giro per il mondo. Nello studio zer081 sono nati progetti come "Surfers", uscito su Undiscovered e in seguito distribuito da Virgin. Nel progetto "Surfers" vi sono diverse influenze musicali, dalla classic house a sonorità bossanova, chill out, elementi funk e soul . Nel 2003 nasce una nuova label voluta dal team Zer081, “Deck” è il nome che il trio Dj Simi, Master Keys, Marco Corvino ha voluto dare a questa nuova etichetta distribuita da Karma. Deck nasce come etichetta indipendente, con l’obiettivo di proporre DJ tools di qualità. La prima uscita su Deck è di DJ Simi & Master Key. L’ep si intitola “What” ed ha riscontrato un grande successo nel panorama dance mondiale. Sulla stessa etichetta Corvino Traxx & Lino “D” Meglio producono “Is Love”. In seguito, con Frank Iengo, porta a termine un progetto tutto Latin House chiamato “Aguadulce”, su Net’s work International. Si tratta di un progetto ispirato al filone delle produzioni precedentemente realizzate dall’artista partenopeo. Nel 2004 il lavoro in studio si intensifica e Marco decide di portare avanti più progetti in varie direzioni: esce, infatti, Daddy’s Groove su Crowd Limited intitolato "Tribute", mirato ad un pubblico giovane, con Dj Simi crea “Everybody Rock” su Deck records, poi in seguito “Who”, sempre un progetto Daddy’s Groove su Crowd Limited. Il grande successo ottenuto con "Everybody rock" porta la label ad avere un vertiginoso incremento delle vendite, fino a 5000 copie vendute in tutto il mondo. Il 2005 inizia nel segno delle produzioni: su Deck esce “Is Love”, prodotto da Marco Corvino Traxx e Lino “D” Meglio. Marco collabora, inoltre, con alcuni tra i più conosciuti magazine d’Italia come: ORBEAT, DISCOID, JAY CULTURE, TREND DAYS, TONIGHT magazines. I successi riscontrati con le sue produzioni hanno fatto sì che i gigs di Marco aumentassero vertiginosamente, fino a proporre il proprio sound nei migliori locali campani ed italiani con una frequenza settimanale. Nel 2003 Marco, con il suo amico e collega di sempre Lino “D” Meglio, intraprende un nuovo progetto chiamato Street Walker. Si inizia alla grande con una delle più belle voci maschili dell’house music, la voce di Keith Thompson. In seguito su Alpha Records realizzano un Remix di un brano, “The Beat”, che li porta a raggiungere posti d’eccellenza nelle classifiche mondiali. Su Crowd limited Marco Corvino & Lino“D” Meglio creano il progetto Daddy’s Groove, la cui prima uscita è intitolata “Tribute”. Su Beside Records esce un progetto soulful, chiamato Duck & Rise – Chocolate, le cui versioni sono curate dall’ormai consolidato duo di produzione Corvino Traxx & Lino “D” Meglio. Nel 2005 a Napoli, insieme ad Antonio Fresa, crea The Op, una scuola per dj, punto di riferimento per molti giovani che desiderano accostarsi a questa professione. Nel 2006, su Tonik Records, Corvino Traxx & Lino “D” Meglio presentano "Contrast EP". Durante il WMC di Miami 06 viene presentato Corvino Traxx - Everyday che uscirà su SoulGroove Records, con Net’s Work International – Dynamicode - Sun City (Corvino Traxx feat Frank Iengo). Nello stesso anno, su Universal Music, Daddy’s Groove – Rendez Vous, brano licenziato su tantissime compilation in Italia come Striscia la Compilation, Hot Party, Hot Mania Dance, nel mondo come Universal Music Dance Compilation. In questo periodo Marco lavora anche nel mondo del cinema partecipando alla realizzazione di molte colonne sonore tra le quali “La leggenda del principe di San Severo”, un cartone animato di Rai Trade, colonne sonore di cortometraggi a sfondo sociale, come “Napoli @ 1” e “Napoli @ 2”. Partecipa, inoltre, nello stesso anno, alla realizzazione di colonne sonore di dvd inerenti al campionato Italiano di Moto Cross. Nel 2007 Marco diventa A&R di una nuova label chiamata Transalp Records e distribuita in tutto il mondo su Vinile da Lavel One. La prima uscita è un progetto chiamato Detail - Be My Self, la seconda uscita Unknown feat Robert Owens - Come Together. Nell'aprile dello stesso anno esce Xploid rec Good of Us - Corvino Traxx & Lino "D" Meglio rmx. Nel 2008, su Solar Recording Digital, Lino "D" Meglio & Corvino Traxx presentano Minot Alia E.P. Con la label digitale Groove Sense recording presentano Feel Like - Shanghai, su Iberican Recording Digital Lino & Corvino presentano Odds & Sods EP. Su Stereo Production remixano Dj Koutaroua - Reaction - Lino & Corvino. Nello stesso anno Marco Corvino lavora all’ADE , Amsterdam Dance Event. Nal 2009 Marco con Emanuele Esposito & Lello Russo iniziano un nuovo progetto chiamato Transalp records digital, etichetta distribuita esclusivamente nel web. Attualmente Marco lavora come direttore artistico su un nuovo progetto chiamato Sonorika Sunday Aperitif, un tour itinerante in otto clubs e sedici Dj’s, il tutto col supporto del noto portale musicale www.sonorika.com . Nel 2009 Marco inizia una nuova avventura con un Tour in Cina proponendo e avendo molti risultati positivi il suo Sound nei migliori clubs della Cina . Marco Corvino began working as DJ in a professional way in many Italian radio program shows since 1985, included some of the most famous in Italy as: Radio Orion 2, Rare Grooves, Rec & Play, Mix in Time, "Mastermix" by Radio Italia Network, Radio Marte Stereo and Radio Club 91. In 1990 he started cooperating with the Angels Of Love promoters crew. With the Angels Of Love Marco collaborated for nine years, together with all the best artists of the world dance panorama. At that time he was spinning in the USA (Miami), France, Germany, England, Low Countries. In the first 90 Marco had his first approaches with the recording studios and in 1995 his first record Dont YoU Know was released on UMM records, with the cooperation of Marco Carola. In 1996 he realized Primo on M.A.W. records, where Corvino appears with the pseudonym Corvino Traxx, used for the cooperation between him and the Masters At Work. In 1997 was released Neapolis on Vinyl Peace records, the Canadian label property of Dino and Terry. Still in 1997 he produced a remix for Dixie Jox & D Minor on AOL records, with the alias Java Brothers (Marco Corvino and Furriello Bros) and a remix on Planet Records named Lovin You with a version by Stefano Miele. In 1999 was released EL Sol on Test records and in the same year Marco realized One Day In Rio, with the pseudonym Dual Key (Marco Corvino and Maurizio B-Flat), very appreciated by the world house scene and especially by Tony Humphries, which reviewed it and then released it on the American label Sound On Wax records, bringing this ep around the world. His experience in studio grew up thanks also to the many cooperations between Marco and prestigious singers, Mika Clausell, Gerideau, Brian Chambell, Simon Cooper, Marcello Coleman and Keith Thompson to name some of them. With these artists Marco realized many projects in different styles, from dance to chill, from hip hop to fusion and RNB. In the Zer081 studio were born projects like Surfers released on Undiscovered and later distributed by Virgin. The Surfer project ranges from classic house sonorities to bossanova, with chill, funk and soul elements, showing the open mind of this young Neapolitan artist. In 2003 comes a new label desired by the Zer081 team, Deck is the name the trio wanted to give to this new label distributed by Karma. Deck was born as independent label, aiming to bring quality DJ tools. The first release on Deck was by DJ Simi & Master Keys. The ep is named What and it has found a big success in the world dance panorama. On the same label Corvino Traxx & Lino D Meglio produced Is Love. Subsequently, with Frank Iengo, brings out a Latin House project called "Aguadulce" on Net's work International. It is inspired to the range of productions previously realized by the Neapolitan artist. In 2004, the studio work intensifies and Marco decides to go ahead with more projects in various directions: it is realised Daddy's Groove on Crowd Limited entitled "Tribute", aimed at young audiences, with Dj Simi creates "Everybody Rock" on Deck records, then later "Who", still a Daddy's Groove on Crowd Limited. This release has been a real success for the label, selling more than 5.000 copies all over the world The year 2005 begins in the sign of the productions: on Deck it is realised Is Love, produced by Marco Corvino Traxx and Lino D Meglio. Marco also cooperates with some of the most famous Italian magazines as ORBEAT, DISCOID, JAY CULTURE, TREND DAYS, TONIGHT. The found successes with his productions have meant that the gigs of Marco giddily increased, up to propose his own sound in the best locals of the Campania region with a weekly frequency. Marco Corvino also realized a big number of compilations: starting from 1996 he has been present on Future Traxx vol.1, on UMM (Corvino TRAXX “ Don't you know) 1996, Masters at work vol.1, on Masters at Work records (Corvino TRAXX- Primo-)1997, on Mr. Bongo “ Latin track (Corvino TRAXX - Primo)1998, on BBE “ Curiosity latin machine (Corvino TRAXX -Primo) 1998, on Sony Italia “ Suburbia compilation (Marco Corvino “ Neapolis) 1999, Two label TBA Zurich - House Station Level (Cormain - EL SOL) 2000, Dual Key - Saxeira - Joint Recording 2000, on Sonido Denso Discotheque “ (Cormain -The Bounza) 2001, on EDEL “ Ibiza Essential House Party (Cormain - EL SOL) 2001, on Sonido Denso “ Relahouse in IBIZA (Cormain -The Bounza and Cormain- EL SOL) 2001, on Vendetta Records – Eibi-Si' House Vol.3 (Cormain-The Bounza) 2002. In 2003 Marco, with his friend and colleague Lino D Meglio, starts a new project called Street Walker. It is great to start with one of the most beautiful male voices of the house music, the voice of Keith Thompson. Following on Alpha Records they have a remix of a song, "The Beat", which leads them to reach places of excellence in the world rankings. On Crowd Limited Marco Corvino and Lino D Meglio create the Daddys Groove project, whose first release is entitled Tribute. On Beside Records is released a soulful project, called Rise & Duck - Chocolate, whose versions are treated by the nearly consolidated duo production Corvino Traxx & Lino "D" Meglio. In 2005 in Naples, along with Antonio Fresa, creates The Op, a school for dj, point of reference for many young people who want to approach this profession. In 2006, on Tonik records, Corvino Traxx & Lino D Meglio present Contrast EP. In 2007 Marco became A & R of a new label called Transalp Records and distributed worldwide on Vinyl by Lavel One.
